SCHEDULES FOR THE OCTOBER 2008 CPA BOARD EXAMS

Schedules for the OCTOBER 2008 CPA BOARD EXAMS will be on October 11 (Saturday), October 12 (Sunday), October 18 (Saturday) & October 19 (Sunday).  The examinations will be conducted in the cities of MANILA, BAGUIO, CAG DE ORO, CEBU, DAVAO, ILOILO, & LEGASPI.  Basing from the prior releases of the Board of Accountancy, RESULTS FOR THE OCTOBER 2008 CPA BOARD EXAMS may be on October 21, 2008 or a day after the last day of the examinations.

The requirements for the application to take the CPA BOARD EXAMS can be found in the Professional Regulations Commission.  I have summarized these as follows:

1. Original and photo/xerox copies of Transcript of Records with Special Order and Date of Graduation with SCANNED PICTURES AND WITH REMARKS “FOR BOARD EXAMINATION PURPOSES ONLY”.
2. Original and photo/xerox copy of NSO-issued of Birth Certificate (in NSO security paper; if NSO copy not very clear, bring copy from local civil registrar).
3. Four (4) passport size colored pictures with complete name tag in white background.
4. Current Community Tax Certificate (Cedula).
5. Original and photo/xerox copies of NSO-issued Marriage Contract in NSO security paper (for married female only;if NSO copy not very clear, bring copy from local civil registrar).
6. Profession specific requirements that the PRC may require of the examinee.

A tip to examinees, it is best that an examinee checks the location of the examination venue.  Better even, to check the room assignments.  This way an examinee will already have seen his/her name that was registered in the PRC and the examination room itself.  Better be safe than sorry, an examinee wouldn’t want to bet on chinese love horoscope on something as important as this.

The most important thing to do is to pray hard and stay calm.  Cramming for the 2008 CPA BOARD EXAMINATIONS is too late.
